Club administration.

Club Meeting 15th Feb 2009 – Gortatole Raymond and Teresa’s Home.

Members attending- Jean, John Paul and Brendan O Reilly, Jim Fallis, Bill Fyffe, Raymond and Teresa Finlay and Bill Regan.

The meeting was mainly held to organise the local fixtures for the next few months.

Raymond was asking for help at the coming schools GCSE event at Drum Manor on March 19th some members offered to help.

 The training event on Sunday the 15th of march will be at Necarne 10 am. The first event at Florencecourt was very interesting produced some good ideas.

 John Paul requested to organise and plan an event for CUB SCOUTS on 17th May, this will be at Gortatole, he will of course get help from club members.

 There will be six events planned locally for newcomers and others in April and May, these events will be called.--- Enniskillen Spring Session Orienteering ( ESSO ). Events will be CATI.( Come and try It )

7th May                       Castle Coole Country Park    7pm start    3 courses

Competitors will enter for all three competitions,            Prizes.

There will be a series of three  Sunday COME AND TRY IT events.

All of these events will have to be advertised by various means.

The preliminary fixture list is out for 2010 and must be discussed at the next NIOA Meeting.

 Members agreed that Ferm O should plump for 3 Sunday NI Colours because Ferm O members seem to favour orienteering on a Sunday. If however this is not forthcoming we should attempt a multi- day event in 2010 and a series of local events.

Raymond will put together a list of new equipment for purchase.

Members are to go to the Scottish Six Day this year.

Fermanagh Orienteers, Annual General Meeting 18th January 2009-01-19 Venue Gortatole.

Attendance.                Simon Reeves, Billy Fyffe, Marella Fyffe, Nadine Grant, Teresa Finlay, Raymond Finlay, Jim Fallis and Bill Regan.

Apologies,  Jean O Reilly.

 Minutes of previous AGM were read, there were no matters arising.

Chairman. Jim thanked the club for their work and efforts in 2008.

 Secretary, Membership down from 2007, presentation tumblers for 2008 to members and winners, fixtures completed, some small amounts of levies to be paid still. Waiting for returns from BOF.

Raymond, Burren will need re-mapping this year if we use it for big event, several things regarding coaching and qualifications, it would appear we only have 1 BOF coach in the club, Grant aid could be delayed to end of year.

 Treasurer gave report of club finances, accepted, proposed Teresa, and seconded Marella.

On the equipment front, Trailer repaired, we need new control Flags and electronic equipment, Raymond to organise list to be purchased from club finances.

 The Jason Kane Trophy went to Bill Regan.

 Teresa Proposed that the committee be returned en-bloc there being no other candidates, this motion was seconded by Marella and voted in.

 Prizes awarded to club Champions, and 2008 tumblers to NI Champions and NI Series winners, Raymond was Conacht winner along with Bill Regan.

 Other business,

Night events, Teresa to organise Gortatole 29th January.

                                Bill Regan to organise Castle Archdale 5th Febuary

                                Teresa to organise Florencecourt 12th February.

(all of these venues are mid- week start around 7pm)
